On Sunday game plan two was to
put Top Fuel and Funny Car driver Sean Bellemeur in the Barnstormer
for another chute shot. Sean was more than up for it and did
a static fire up. But when it came time, Sean was busy with his
real job, the Team Leader for High Speed Motorsports. They were
dealing with a timing issue and had no time for fun.
Sunday was cloud free and hot.
The Yeakel team assembled with long time friend Manny Maldonado
at the top end for another push start for Paul Rossi.
Walt Stevens got his third call
of the weekend to push start the Poachers.
And since Bellemeur was predisposed,
Marc McCormick also got a third chance in the seat of the Barnstormer.
Kol Johnson served as his valet.
Adhering to Cacklefest rules,
all push starts require that the driver be in protective clothing,
helmet and strapped in as if the car was going to make a pass.
First down was Stevens.
Followed by Rossi.
Both cars made the turn and just
idled down the track. Fun for them and a show for the fans.
Marc followed in the
now hot lapped Barnstormer.
Easing into the throttle,
it was take two for a chute shot.
By request, McCormack
pulled the big ribbon chute earlier this pass.
A job well done - back
to the pits.
