a nice selection of Cacklecars on hand in the "Coral".
Also on display were
the Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series championship cars.

Pitts: "Jeep (Hampshire, behind car) saw this lady in the
crowd who was showing incredible interest in being in the car.
So she was drafted and we eased her into the full get up and
she settled in and did just fine throughout the fire up. The
Magicar really snorts on 98 %. So she definitely said it was
the thrill of a lifetime! The gift that keeps on giving."

On Saturday all the cars that
wanted to were towed out and lined up on the wall in front of
the reserved seating section for a fire-up later in the afternoon.
Shirley was in her restored
championship car.
Garlits himself was in
Sonny Messner's Swamp Rat III.
Gene "Geno" Gastelum
got the seat in John Ewald's Mastercar while Alan Miller got
the BankAmericar.
Ivo was in Ron Johnson's
Barnstormer.
